The Bury Free Press West Suffolk Business Awards 2023 celebrated the success of businesses in the district, recognizing individuals, start-ups, and lifetime achievers. The event, hosted by ITV Anglia News anchor Becky Jago, honored 13 winners in various categories. The awards were the culmination of the two-week West Suffolk Business Festival, which included workshops, talks, and networking events. The event highlighted the importance of recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of businesses and their staff, particularly in the face of challenges such as inflation and the cost of living crisis. The awards also emphasized the opportunities presented by the green revolution and encouraged businesses to explore initiatives such as the council’s solar panel grant scheme and the new net zero innovation fund. The event was sponsored by various organizations, including WS Training, Suffolk Chamber, Menta, the arc Shopping Centre, Greene & Greene Solicitors, and Bay Tree VA.
