Singing is not only a fulfilling hobby, but it can also be a great way to connect with others and experience the joy of music.

The Northshoremen Chorus is offering free singing lessons for men who are passionate about singing and want to learn new skills.

DANVERS — Men who love to sing can now turn their passion into a great hobby with the Northshoremen Chorus. The chorus is offering a course called “Ready, Set, Sing,” which aims to teach both beginner and experienced singers the skills they need to enjoy solo or group singing. Led by musical director Paul Beausoleil and taught by Danvers Middle School music teacher Billy Carleton, the course promises to provide participants with the knowledge and techniques to sing richly and produce great harmony.

The three-part series of classes will take place on November 1, 8, and 15 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Danvers. The classes will start at 7 p.m. and all learning materials will be provided for free. Beausoleil assures that participants don’t need to know how to read music in order to participate. The course is open to all men who have a love for singing and want to explore the world of a cappella music.

To register or learn more about the course, interested individuals can call 866-462-7664 or email northshoremen.chorus@gmail.com. Advance registration is recommended to secure a spot in the classes.
