Autentica Car Parts Revolutionizes Automotive Spare Parts Supply Chain with Innovative Platform

In a groundbreaking development, Autentica Car Parts, a start-up based at Sci-Tech Daresbury, has unveiled a revolutionary platform that has the potential to transform the automotive spare parts supply chain. This innovative solution aims to save 70% of non-production costs and reduce transport emissions by 40%.

The platform, which has been successfully tested with 500 customers, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and car dealers, enables equipment manufacturers to sell parts designs to authorized dealers, distributors, and repair centers. By leveraging funding from Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, Autentica Car Parts has been able to develop and refine this game-changing technology.

Developed in partnership with the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and cloud technology company Oracle, the platform combines three major digital technologies – additive manufacturing, distributed ledger, and artificial intelligence. This powerful combination allows for instant access to spare car parts, compared to the industry standard of 28 days.

The aftermarket in the automotive spare parts supply chain has long faced challenges such as costly warehouse storage, high logistics costs, and low-risk resilience due to cross-border transport. However, Autentica Car Parts believes that digital technologies can be catalysts for change in global supply chains. By leveraging automation, analytics, and intelligence, the platform aims to improve efficiency, visibility, sustainability, and resilience in the aftermarket.

Irma Gilbert, CEO of Autentica Car Parts, expressed her excitement about the launch of the business model in the UK and international markets. She highlighted the transformative economic and environmental impact that the platform can bring.

The launch of Autentica Car Parts will take place at a special full-day event at Sci-Tech Daresbury on November 1st, 2023. The event will feature keynote speeches, presentations, roundtable discussions, and live platform demonstrations, showcasing the capabilities and potential of this innovative solution.

This groundbreaking platform has the potential to disrupt the automotive spare parts supply chain, offering a more efficient, sustainable, and resilient solution. By reducing non-production costs and transport emissions, Autentica Car Parts is paving the way for a greener future in the automotive industry.
