Mowgli Street Food Wins Merseyside Independent Business of the Year at MIB Awards

In a night that celebrated the achievements of local independent businesses and entrepreneurs, Mowgli Street Food emerged as the winner of the Merseyside Independent Business of the Year at the MIB Awards. The awards, created by Morecrofts Solicitors, aim to showcase the social and economic impact of independent businesses in the city region.

Mowgli Street Food, known for its vibrant and authentic Indian cuisine, impressed the judges with its commitment to quality, innovation, and community impact. The restaurant stood out among a diverse range of businesses, including Dams Furniture, which won the Trades or Manufacturing Award, Merseymade in the Retailer of the Year category, and E-Sign, winner of the Digital and Technology Award.

Alison Lobb, managing partner at Morecrofts Solicitors, expressed her admiration for the high volume of entries and the exceptional performance of local independent businesses. She emphasized the pride and kinship within the independent business community, which is always demonstrated through the MIB Awards.

Bill Addy, chief executive of Liverpool BID Company, the headline sponsor of the awards, highlighted the variety of businesses winning awards as a reflection of the diversity and strength of local independents. Despite the external challenges faced by businesses, there was a palpable energy and optimism when the community came together for the awards ceremony.
