Man City’s Champions League Clash Marred by Shocking Fashion Faux Pas: A Style Disaster Unveiled

Manchester City’s latest fashion choice for their Champions League clash with Young Boys has received negative reviews, with pundits Joe Cole and Joleon Lescott describing the outfits as “horrendous” and “questionable.”

In recent years, Manchester City players have made headlines for their unconventional arrival outfits, as part of a partnership with fashion label Dsquared2. This has included blazers and rolled-up jeans, double denim, and bomber jackets with a shirt and tie.

For their match against Young Boys, players such as Erling Haaland and Kyle Walker were seen wearing cardigans with their names and shirt numbers printed on the back. The cardigans also featured ‘Manchester City’ printed on the arm, resembling a captain’s armband. They paired the cardigans with a white shirt and light denim jeans.

Manager Pep Guardiola opted for a black blazer and a grey roll neck jumper. When asked about the outfits, pundits Joe Cole and Joleon Lescott expressed their disapproval, with Cole calling them “unacceptable” and Lescott saying they didn’t look good on player Jack Grealish.

Despite the fashion blunder, Manchester City sits at the top of Group G with two wins from two matches as they aim to defend their Champions League title. Guardiola made several changes to the team for the Young Boys match, including the inclusion of players like Grealish, Rico Lewis, Ruben Dias, Mateo Kovacic, and Matheus Nunes.

Guardiola had previously criticized the artificial pitch that will be used in Berne, Switzerland, where Young Boys play their home matches. He stated that the team is not used to playing on such surfaces and that they would have to adapt to it. Manchester United had previously been beaten by Young Boys on this pitch during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure.

Overall, Manchester City’s fashion choice for their Champions League clash has received negative feedback, but their focus remains on retaining their European crown.
