Honeywell’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Powers Embraer Business Jet, Ushering in a Greener Era of Flight

Honeywell’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel Powers Embraer Business Jet, Ushering in a Greener Era of Flight

The successful testing of Honeywell’s HTF7500 turbofan engine using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on the Embraer Praetor 600 aircraft marks a major milestone in the aviation industry’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The test, which compared the engine’s performance using SAF and traditional jet fuel, demonstrated that the engine performed just as flawlessly when running on SAF. This testing milestone showcases the viability of SAF for Embraer and the overall aviation industry as they work towards meeting carbon reduction commitments. Honeywell’s HTF7500 engine, which powers both the Praetor 600 and Praetor 500 aircraft models, offers best-in-class dispatch reliability and a focus on reducing noise and improving fuel efficiency. Honeywell’s commitment to developing SAF solutions will also benefit their own engines and auxiliary power units (APUs). With more than 40 Honeywell Ecofining licenses issued to produce SAF, Honeywell is a global leader in sustainable aviation fuel technology. This achievement highlights the industry’s progress in creating a more sustainable future for aviation.
