Goldman Sachs Bankers Rank Highest in Job Satisfaction and Lifestyle Fulfillment

Goldman Sachs Bankers Rank Highest in Job Satisfaction and Lifestyle Fulfillment

Insight Point: Our survey of over 1,000 bankers revealed that while overall lifestyle satisfaction was moderate, there were significant variations by sector, age, and bank. Contrary to popular belief, people working in financial services become less happy with age, with satisfaction declining from the age of 20 to 50, before increasing again at 50+. Interestingly, some of the hardest-working bankers were the happiest, with Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and Société Générale topping the rankings for lifestyle satisfaction. Additionally, technology and compliance professionals were found to be the most satisfied, while those in accounting departments and operations reported the lowest satisfaction levels. These findings challenge common assumptions about the banking industry and provide valuable insights into the well-being of bankers.
