Bobby Brazier, the 20-year-old EastEnders star, is set to compete on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing. Despite having no acting experience, Bobby won over producers and joined the cast of EastEnders as Freddie Slater in September 2020. He has also worked as a model for Dolce & Gabbana, making his runway debut in Milan. Bobby’s late mother, Jade Goody, rose to fame as a contestant on Big Brother in 2002 and tragically passed away from cervical cancer in 2009. Her diagnosis sparked a surge in requests for cervical screenings by younger women. Bobby and his younger brother were raised by their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, who kept them out of the public eye while they were children. Bobby describes himself as a spiritual person and embarked on a journey of self-discovery after leaving school at 16. He believes that spirituality is a form of therapy and considers himself a healer. Bobby won the Rising Star prize at this year’s National Television Awards.
