Baccarat, the renowned luxury crystal manufacturer, recently announced the winners of its first scholarship program in collaboration with the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID). The scholarship program aimed to inspire students to incorporate Baccarat products into their designs while promoting sustainability in interior design.

Six current students from NYSID were given the task of designing spaces that utilized Baccarat products. Their designs were then judged by a panel of interior professionals, including Courtney McLeod, Marshall Watson, and Elizabeth Lawrence. The winners were celebrated during a cocktail event held at Baccarat’s flagship store on Madison Avenue.

The first prize winner, Bridget Lee, a fourth-year student at NYSID, was awarded a $10,000 scholarship for her outstanding design. The second and third place winners, Peter Ibarra and Jason Win, both in the school’s MFA program, received Baccarat gift cards as a recognition of their achievements.

Adam Banfield, the president and CEO of Baccarat North America, expressed his delight in giving back to the students of NYSID and creating a lasting legacy between the two institutions. Baccarat has been the trophy purveyor for NYSID’s annual gala for several years, and this scholarship program further strengthens their partnership.

This collaboration between Baccarat and NYSID not only supports young designers but also promotes sustainability in the interior design industry. By encouraging students to incorporate Baccarat products into their designs, the scholarship program showcases the brand’s commitment to sustainable practices.

Baccarat’s scholarship program with NYSID serves as a reminder that luxury brands can play a significant role in promoting environmental awareness and supporting emerging talent. By investing in the education of young designers and encouraging sustainable design practices, Baccarat sets an example for the industry as a whole.

Overall, Baccarat’s partnership with the New York School of Interior Design for its scholarship program demonstrates the brand’s commitment to supporting young designers and promoting sustainability in the industry.
