Adam Thomas: From Waterloo Road to Strictly Stardom, Secrets of His Famous Family

Adam Thomas, known for his roles in Waterloo Road and Emmerdale, is set to compete in this year’s season of Strictly Come Dancing. Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Thomas comes from a family of actors, with his twin brother Scott and older brother Ryan also in the public eye. Thomas made his acting debut in the soap opera Doctors in 2002 and went on to play Donte Charles in Waterloo Road from 2006 to 2009. He then joined the cast of Emmerdale, where he won the Best Newcomer award at the 2010 TV Choice Awards. After leaving Emmerdale in 2018, Thomas pursued other entertainment opportunities, including hosting I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp. Thomas is married to dance teacher Caroline Thomas, and they have two children together. Despite his wife’s profession, Thomas claims to have no prior dance experience and is excited to learn and give his best on the Strictly dancefloor. He aims to bring laughter to the series and hopes to be partnered with someone who shares his sense of humor. Strictly Come Dancing airs every Saturday on BBC One.
