Adam Thomas: From Waterloo Road to Strictly Stardom, Secrets Behind the Famous Family’s Rise

Adam Thomas, known for his roles in Waterloo Road and Emmerdale, is set to appear on the upcoming season of Strictly Come Dancing. Born in Salford, Greater Manchester in 1988, Thomas is the younger brother of former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas. He made his on-screen debut in 2002 with a guest role on the soap Doctors and later found success as Donte Charles in Waterloo Road and Adam Barton in Emmerdale. Thomas left Emmerdale in 2018 to pursue other opportunities in presenting and theatre work. He also gained popularity as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2016 and went on to host its companion show, I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp, in 2019. Thomas has been married to dance teacher Caroline Thomas since 2017 and they have two children together. Despite his wife’s profession, Thomas has denied any prior dance experience and is excited to learn and perform on Strictly Come Dancing. He aims to bring laughter to the show and hopes to be paired with a professional dancer who shares his sense of humor. Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
