Despite the cancellation of the show, the second season has already been written, and there is hope that it will still be made. Other Disney Plus originals that were removed have found new homes on different digital platforms, such as the sci-fi blockbuster Crater. This removal of content coincided with Disney Plus losing four million subscribers in the first three months of 2023, continuing a decline for the platform. Disney CFO Christine McCarthy announced during an earnings call that the company would be “removing certain content from our streaming platforms.”
