Liam Gallagher’s Explosive Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour Sets the Stage Ablaze

A Reunion Remains Elusive, But Liam Gallagher’s Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour Offers Fans a Rare Opportunity

Liam Gallagher Announces Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour

Liam Gallagher, former frontman of Oasis, has thrilled fans by announcing a tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe. The iconic singer will perform the entire album for the first time at gigs across the UK in 2024. Released in August 1994, Definitely Maybe includes timeless classics such as “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” “Live Forever,” “Supersonic,” and “Cigarettes & Alcohol” – songs that shaped the Britpop era and catapulted Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher to fame.

Since Oasis’s acrimonious split in 2009, the brothers have famously had a strained relationship, dashing hopes of a reunion. However, the Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour presents a rare opportunity for fans to hear Liam perform tracks that have rarely, if ever, been played since the mid-’90s. Deep cuts like “Up In The Sky” and “Digsy’s Dinner” will be brought to life on stage, alongside fan favorites like “Whatever,” “Fade Away,” “Listen Up,” and “Sad Song.”

Liam expressed his excitement about the tour, calling Definitely Maybe the most important album of the ’90s. He stated, “I wouldn’t be anywhere without it, and neither would you, so let’s celebrate together.” Representatives have hinted that Liam may also include other beloved songs from the era in his performances.

A Rare Opportunity for Fans

The Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour will consist of 12 dates in June 2024, with standout shows including three nights in Manchester’s 23,500-capacity Co-Op Live, which will become the largest indoor arena in the country upon its opening in May. Liam will also perform three shows at The O2 in London, adding to the excitement surrounding the tour.

Liam Gallagher has enjoyed a successful solo career since his time as Oasis’s frontman, with five UK number one studio and live albums under his belt. He even returned to Knebworth, the site of Oasis’s most famous gigs, to perform his own shows in 2022. Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher, Oasis’s songwriter, has also achieved chart-topping success as the frontman of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

Despite their intense sibling rivalry, the Mancunian brothers have not completely ruled out the possibility of a reunion. Liam has been vocal about his desire for a reunion, while Noel has been more reluctant. In the past, Noel jokingly stated that he would reunite the band for a hefty sum of £100 million. However, he has yet to comment on Liam’s latest announcement.

The Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour is an event that Oasis fans have long awaited. While a full reunion may not be on the horizon, Liam’s tour offers a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Oasis’s debut album once again. It is a celebration of the band’s legacy and the lasting impact of their music on the Britpop era and beyond.

As Liam Gallagher takes the stage to perform the songs that defined a generation, fans can come together to relive the nostalgia and celebrate the 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe.
